Manchester-based 5-piece, none of whom are called Dennis, serving up Pub-Kosmische post-punk out of the takeaway hatch of their collective minds. The band met in 2024 whilst individually examining a dangerously expanding pothole in the Old Trafford area and have been making music, and keeping an eye on local infrastructure, ever since. Inspired by Parquet Courts, The Bug Club and The Cool Greenhouse, their debut release is currently being tinkered with and is none of your business (for now). Come see them in glorious 3-D instead.
Special Guests
AINAKANNA
2-piece (piano, vocal and drums, backing vocal) Female Rock Group playing a unique style of pop rock with a Japanese touch, adding aspects of J-Pop mixed with western rock.Aina Ougi is a Singer/songwriter who sings intensely while playing piano. She made a major debut with Victor in 2005, one of the biggest labels in Japan that has developed numerous careers. Kanna is a rock’n roll drummer who has had sessions with many famous Japanese musicians.
The Concept is “Minimum × Maximum”. They are a 2 piece band which is a “minimum,” but their sound is the “Maximum”.
Tom Favell
Singer songwriter and musician based in Whalley Range, Manchester. Originally from Leicester, Tom moved up north in 2007 to study at university and naturally became involved writing and performing in various bands and projects, such as Belle Vue, Fake Smiles and The Motion Picture.
After having a few stints performing on cruise ships and hotels overseas, Tom decided to focus on his own original solo material and put together a band for his project in 2023. So far, Tom has performed a few spots in and around Manchester as a smaller trio ensemble, and has now expanded his project into a full five piece. In terms of influences, Tom signposts Neil Young, Radiohead, The Beatles and Death Cab ForCutie as big parts of his approach to his songs.
Ruby eats Art
“Music is always around me, I let my life experiences resonate“ says Ruby eats Art, aka Angela Buch, from Berlin, who has been working on her music for years. You can hear that the foundation is solid: It's not about short-lived trends, but influences from classical, punk, soul, electronic music, traditional blues, and disco. All of this together results in a new, yet familiar sound with stadium quality. A longer stay in Manchester gave her the necessary international touch – as did the musical friendships she cultivates around the globe. Her impressive and touching sonorous voice reveals that the singer has Haitian roots. Her musical independence is very important to Ruby eats Art: From the age of four, she learned various instruments and participated in numerous music projects, produced music on her own since years and now she's able to show what she can do all on her own as a solo musician, singer and composer. And that's a lot.
